A juried selection is held annually to award artists three-to-twelve month residencies. Artists selected for the program receive 24/7 access to studio space, cultural and professional development opportunities, a monthly stipend that includes a small housing/materials allowance, and the opportunity to give an artist talk. The studios are equipped with sinks, telephones and wireless Internet access. Artists are selected based on the quality of their creative work, ability to interact with the public, career direction, and program diversity.
In addition to the benefits listed above, artists have access to a wide variety of resources and opportunities, including teaching assignments through HCCC and collaborative works with fellow residents. To support artistic development, the program offers additional opportunities such as discussions with curators and gallery owners, exposure at HCCC events, and interactions with visiting art professionals.

Since its creation 50 years ago, the Fine Arts Work Center Fellowship has become one of the leading residency programs in the world.
Each year, the Work Center offers 20 seven-month residencies to a juried group of emerging visual artists, fiction writers, and poets. Each Fellow receives an apartment, a studio (for visual artists), and a monthly stipend of $1,250 plus an exit stipend of $1,000. Residencies run from October 1 through April 30. During this time, Fellows have the opportunity to pursue their work independently in a diverse and supportive community of peers.
The Fine Arts Work Center has hosted more than 1,000 Fellows since 1968, nurturing an accomplished and far-reaching alumni network. The impact of the experience is best illustrated by the extensive list of awards Fellows have gone on to win, including the Guggenheim Fellowship, MacArthur Fellowship, Prix de Rome, Pulitzer Prize, and the Nobel Prize in Literature.

The University of Victoria (UVic) and Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park (JRSP) Artist Scholar Residency was created by an interinstitutional partnership and their unwavering belief in cultivating the arts.
The successful applicant will enjoy a September-October residency at the Jeffrey Rubinoff Sculpture Park (for 2 – 6 weeks) with an additional week at UVic to engage with the Faculty of Fine Arts faculty and students.
This Residency is for artists and scholars seeking space to focus on creating a work for exhibition or publication that is in some way informed by their investigation of Jeffrey Rubinoff’s work and their experience working at the sculpture park.

About 300 artists in seven disciplines are awarded Fellowships each year and the sole criterion for acceptance is artistic excellence. There are no residency fees, and need-based stipends and travel reimbursement grants are available to open the residency to the broadest possible community of artists.

We are looking to commission an artist in residence to collaborate with the people of Revoe to creatively take up space. The artist will collaborate with existing community groups, surrounding residents, and develop new relationships through their processes. The residency will align with our Revoe Public Square project.
LONG MEADOW ART RESIDENCY

Long Meadow Art Residency is a six week – three-month solo residency nestled in the Berkshire Mountains. LMAR offers studio space and housing, allowing time for artists to retreat and deepen their practice. The residency provides a $3,000 monthly living stipend, a $2,500 supply budget, as well as access to a vehicle for transportation.
All applications will be reviewed by the Board of Directors. All applicants who move forward will be contacted by email. Finalists will be contacted to create a video about their practice in lieu of an in-person studio visit. Notification of residency awards will be made by June 2025 – via phone call and posted on the LMAR website/social media.
SBC CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY'S ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE

The SBC Contemporary Art Gallery's artist-in-residence program aims to support artists by providing a space for research and experimentation, to pursue a project that explores issues at the intersection of art, politics and society, supporting creative risk-taking.
Over a five-week period, the artist-in-residence will benefit from a range of resources to support the development of their project. Thanks to our partners Atelier CLARK/Centre d'art et de diffusion CLARK, Vidéographe and OBORO, the artist will have access to a professional production space and technical expertise in woodworking (cabinetmaking and joinery) as well as access to a post-production studio and equipment for sound and video practices*. We invite artists to present a project requiring the mobilization of at least one of these workshops, and to justify their choice.
The SBC gallery space will be made available to the artist as an open studio for work and presentation, and will be used as a venue for professional and/or public invitations. Assisted by the SBC team, the artist is encouraged to choose the programs in which they wish to be involved, and to develop at least one public activity.
The SBC invites emerging, mid-career and established artists to submit a project. In support of diversity and inclusion, the SBC encourages applications from racialized and Native artists, as well as artists from disability and gender diversity.
McKINNEY INTERNALTIONAL ART AND DESIGN RESIDENCY

The Eskenazi School of Art Architecture + Design at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a 4–6-week McKinney International Art and Design Residency. An established artist or designer will be selected whose primary country of residence is outside the United States. Applicants should be actively engaged in a contemporary artistic practice and show evidence of a national and international exhibition record. Applications from practitioners of studio disciplines, as well as criticism, are welcome.
Selected artists are required to visit for a 4–6-week period between February 1–May 1, 2027.
The Artist-in-Residence will be selected based on the merits of their professional careers, their dedication to being part of an academic environment, and their proposal to develop and expand on their creative process utilizing the facilities, unique collections, and research centers available at Indiana University. Selected applicants will be featured as part of the McKinney Visiting Artist Lecture Series and must remain in residence for the full period of the residency. In addition, prospective residents will coordinate with the Eskenazi School of Art + Design to offer studio visits, open studios, and a workshop based on technical/conceptual innovations.

Resident artists develop a body of work while at Purchase and are extensively involved in the education of Purchase students and the larger Purchase community. Residents are established or emerging designer/makers of exceptional talent who exhibit strong communication skills and proven dedication to working in an academic studio environment. Specific involvement during the residency beyond each artist’s own work might include guest lecturing in a master class, giving public lectures, mentoring students, participating in exhibits, and working on community design.
The WAIR program is specifically structured to expand upon the conservatory environment and collaborative atmosphere that is the cornerstone of the Purchase educational experience, providing students with the opportunity to observe an artist at work and to engage in dialogue with the artist in both the studio and classroom. Through public lectures, workshops, and exhibitions, the WAIR program expands on Purchase College’s mission to act as a public resource center for the exchange and exploration of ideas relative to our cultural and social environment.

Located on the sixth floor of the Museum and open to the public, the Artist Studios at MAD is a community engagement and professional development program for contemporary artists and designers. The first program of its kind, the Artist Studios opportunity is designed to encourage visitors to meet artists-in-residence as they expand their creative practice while working on site at MAD. Three artists (two Artist Studios residents and one Artist Fellow) are selected per six-month session, for which they receive access to studio space in the Museum and a stipend. Visitors are welcome to visit MAD’s Artist Studios to view works in progress and converse with the artists and designers.
The artists chosen for MAD’s Artist Studios program represent a wide range of creative practices within the fields of art, craft, and design. Established in 2008, the program has served as an important platform for more than 200+ artists and designers to advance their careers and is widely recognized as an innovative model for Museum education. The MAD Artist Fellowship was introduced in 2016 to support the practice of emerging NYC-based artists from historically underrepresented communities. Alumni of the program have gone on to highly regarded careers, and after their time at MAD have proceeded to exhibit work at MAD and other major institutions, including the Queens Museum, Whitney Museum, Brooklyn Museum, and Studio Museum, among others.

The climate crisis is an urgent global concern. Self as Universe: Mending Our Collective Ecosystem Residencies at A Studio in the Woods invite artists to explore the connections within our collective ecosystems and use the power of imagination to heal the wounds in the relationship between ourselves and our communities. Southeast Louisiana’s land and inhabitants are continually scarred by the effects of environmental degradation. These injuries – the historical to the present – affect our bodies, families, communities, and cultures, as well as the land and its other creatures. We encourage artists to guide our collective response as the caretakers and caregivers to our universe while bringing wisdom, integrity, optimism, and even humor to intentional and timely projects seeking transformation for our species and planet. This new call reflects a desire to repair the disconnection and alienation between humankind and the planet that is hindering the climate movement.
EDITH-RUSS-HAUS FOR MEDIA ART

The Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art, Oldenburg, will award three Media Art Grants of the Stiftung Niedersachsen (€12,500 each).
The Stiftung Niedersachsen grant at the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art supports a wide spectrum of media art, from video art and net-based projects to audio works and audiovisual installations. Each of the three grants will be awarded for the production of a new project in the area of media art.
An international jury will convene to select the grant recipients.
The project or artistic work should be completed within the six-month duration of the grant. However, an extension until the end of February 2026 can be negotiated. Grant recipients are expected to be involved in the activities of the Edith-Russ-Haus, including, for example, running workshops and giving presentations and artist talks. The dates of such activities will be arranged in consultation with the Edith-Russ-Haus.
